About Matthew.

Matthew Lewis is a highly qualified Architect and Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) with over 15 years of experience in the field. He has been dedicated to his profession since 2008, when he obtained his full professional qualification via the RIBA Northwest, just seven years after beginning his academic journey in architecture.

Matthew's academic achievements began at the University of Liverpool, where he earned both the RIBA Part I BA (Hons) in 2004 and the RIBA Part II BArch in 2007. During his studies, he was honoured to receive the Frank Norton Prize in Architecture 2007 as recognition for his exceptional work.

Throughout his career, Matthew has gained a wealth of experience working on projects in various sectors. He started his career at David McLean Design in 2004 and 2005, a multidisciplinary practice that exposed him to large scale mixed-use, residential, master planning, industrial units, landscape, car parks, student accommodation, and housing association work.

​

In 2008, Matthew became a full Architect and a member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB). He continued to expand his expertise by specialising in Healthcare, Education & Science during his three years at leading AJ100 architectural practice Nightingale Associates. There, he was also involved in Disability Adaptation work for legal claims, post-settlement.

​

Matthew's experience continued to grow as a Project Architect at 2020 Liverpool, Mouchel in Merseyside for 18 months. He was responsible for managing the Stockbridge Village Masterplan scheme as one of the lead Architects. This project involved delivering a Primary School, Children's Medical Practice, Learning Resource Centre, Sports Centre, and commercial retail buildings with parking scheme worth a total construction value of 26 million.

 

Matthew's exceptional academic and professional achievements have established him as a highly skilled and respected Architect in his field. His expertise, dedication, and diverse experience make him an asset to any project or team he is involved in.

• Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture RIBA Part 3, from the RIBA Northwest in 2008
